UnZip It processes files only for the purpose of extraction.

Information We Process

• ZIP files uploaded by users

• Temporary extracted contents

• Discord User ID associated with the request

• Discord Server/Guild ID where the request was made

• Limited technical information necessary to operate and protect the bot

Files are used solely to perform the extraction operation. Once the bot sends the extracted files back, everything is deleted immediately.

Security and Abuse Detection

To protect UnZip It and its users from malicious or prohibited use, files processed by the bot may be subject to manual security and abuse reviews.

These reviews may be performed periodically or when suspicious activity is identified. Reviews may include examining uploaded archives, extracted files, file names, file types, or file contents for purposes such as:

• Detecting malicious archives or files

• Identifying attempts to abuse or overload the bot

• Detecting prohibited content or activities described in the Terms of Service

• Investigating reports of abuse

• Improving the bot's security and abuse prevention measures

These reviews are performed manually and are not intended to provide automated malware detection or guarantee that every malicious file will be identified.

Usage Statistics

To improve stability, security, and understand general usage, UnZip It may collect limited technical statistics, including:

• Total number of ZIP files processed

• Total number of files extracted and sent from ZIP archives

• Number of unique users using the bot (identified by Discord User ID)

• Number of Discord servers where the bot is used (identified by Discord Server/Guild ID)

• Number of users or servers blocked from using the bot

• Security or abuse-related events necessary to enforce the Terms of Service

These statistics do not normally include file names, file contents, or file types, except where such information is retained temporarily or reviewed as part of a security or abuse investigation.

Data Storage

• Uploaded files and extracted files are intended to be stored only temporarily for processing.

• Files are deleted after processing unless they are temporarily retained as necessary for a security or abuse investigation.

• We do not sell user data.

• We do not use uploaded files for advertising or profiling.

• Security reviews are limited to protecting and operating UnZip It and enforcing its Terms of Service.

Discord Platform Handling

While UnZip It deletes all files after processing, Discord may retain uploads according to their own systems. This is outside the bot’s control. Check Discord's privacy policy for more information.

User Responsibility

Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights and authorization to upload and process files through UnZip It.

Do not upload illegal, sensitive, confidential, or copyrighted material unless you are authorized to share it.

By using UnZip It, you acknowledge that files processed through the bot may be subject to the limited security and abuse reviews described above.
